The Roles

We’re continuing to build a new future for Jersey that is more modern, sustainable and prosperous for all. It’s a future that will see people, business and government come together to collaborate in a way they’ve never done before. This approach is called Team Jersey and it’s a milestone in our history: one island, one community, one government – and one exciting future. Now we need talented leaders to join us for a career-defining opportunity: to make change happen on a unique, historic island.

  • Project Director – Our Hospital
    £Competitive

Jersey’s Government has embarked upon a rapid and unprecedented programme of transformation to deliver modern, quality, value-for-money public services for islanders. We aim to support a more sustainable society, underpinned by a sustainable, internationally-competitive economy and delivered by a strong partnership between a modern government, responsible business and islanders.

Ministers recently published a four-year Government Plan for Jersey, which includes a commitment to nearly £350 million worth of capital investment to improve the island’s infrastructure and provide first class services for islanders.

In addition to our rolling programme of capital investment, the Government is committed to building a new, state-of-the-art hospital to meet the island’s future healthcare needs. This ambitious project requires a Project Director, who will responsible for overall project direction, coordination and buildings delivery, and accountable to a high-level steering group chaired by the Chief Executive. You will have experience of delivering large and complex public sector building projects – ideally a hospital – from briefing to construction, commissioning and handover.

You will play a critical part in helping us deliver our plans and strategic priorities. We’re looking for world class skills to match our ambition, together with an appreciation of how to deploy those in a unique and precious island environment.

This is a fantastic time to be working with the Government of Jersey, as it makes changes that will not only benefit the islanders of today, but will build the foundations of a prosperous economy and sustainable society that will benefit future generations too.
